March Madness
Holden is 10 months, likes crawling, solid foods, and pulling to stand on anything. He thinks that walking is just a matter of will power, and, if he’s right, he’ll be doing it any day now… if he’s wrong (and it’s actually a complex matrix of coordination, strength, balance, willpower, luck, bravery…), it could still be a while. We’re in no hurry though.
This tenth month was fairly traumatic for me, but I’ve already forgotten all the details… just this week, when asked how it went when Alec was gone on business for almost a week, I said, “oh, it was fine” and Whitney turned to me and laughed and said, “are you kidding? You cried every day”… and I thought, “oh yeah, I guess it was hard”. Anyway, that was just last week, so I’ve clearly forgotten all the newborn angst and trauma that I didn’t even want to write about for fear of being thought of as a Bad Mother.
Hope you enjoy the pictures.

You’re a great mom, and if you didn’t care so much, it wouldn’t have seemed so hard. it is getting easier all the time, as your nurturing nature is being expressed! I’m so proud of you(both)!
